Background
Waterops (Pty) Ltd was established in 1997 by professional South Africans combining specialised experience in the water treatment field, both within South Africa and internationally, with expertise in the fields of finance and administration. The resultant company (with black majority shareholding) initially concentrated on only providing water treatment plant operating services and training. However, as from the end of 2009 the company has decided to strategically re-align itself in the water treatment field and will in future concentrate on supplying Thermax water chemicals and ion exchange resins (in assigned sales territory), and conducting water treatment plant investigations and troubleshooting. The company has also been independently verified and is deemed to be an exempted micro enterprise with B-BBEE procurement recognition of a Level 3 contributor. (Download B-BBEE certificate.)
